On Monday, October 17, 2022, the Calhoun County 9-1-1 District (CC911) Board of Communications held a public meeting.  There was a unanimous vote to cancel the previous Calhoun County Ambulance RFP (originally published on August 2, 2022).  We will not accept any bids (RFP responses) on Thursday, October 20, 2022.


During the same meeting, the CC911 Board of Commissioners voted unanimously to republish a new Ambulance RFP (ATTACHED dated 08182022).  The sole purpose here was the addition of the Town of Ohatchee – now for full consideration as part of the new bid process.  In the attachment, applicable statistics, map and timeline were updated.  All else remains the same.


As a result of this action, CC911 hereby announces a (new) Pre-bid conference which is scheduled for Thursday, November 3, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at the City of Jacksonville Public Safety Complex, 911 Public Safety Dr SW, Jacksonville, Alabama 36265.


Please note a correction to this latest RFP publication: the tentative award date by the Calhoun County 9-1-1 Board of Commissioners is Tuesday, December 6, 2022 during a formal public board meeting.


All proposals must be received by 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 (two weeks from now).   Please note responses will be accepted by any mail courier or by hand delivery during normal business hours (Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. except government holidays).  You may choose to submit a bid sooner than the required deadline.
